THREE farmers from the Zambezi have been nominated as finalists for the regional dry land maize championships for the 2014 production period.
They are Lennox Kulobone from Linyati, Fred Mwabi from Chincimani and Alfred Mutakalilumo from Masokoywani all in the Sibbinda constituency. The three farmers were chosen according to criteria that included how they have adopted modern farming practices such as the use of herbicides and pesticides with the ultimate aim of increasing the quality of their crop and maximising the yield per hectare.
