Kenya: Partner With State On Food - Ruto

DEPUTY President William Ruto has urged Kwale Governor Salim Mvurya to work with the national government to boost agriculture. Ruto said food security cannot be achieved through magic but by changing the agriculture sector.

He said the county needs to buy more tractors for tilling land. He was speaking at Kinagoni Secondary School on Saturday during a funds drive for the school. Ruto said the national government has made fertiliser affordable to all farmers by reducing prices. He asked the Kwale government to put up fertiliser stores near to locals for easy access.
