News reports from Baladhawo in the Gedo region entail that Kenyan soldiers have cordoned off or closed the border of the city with Mandera.

Residents have reported to Shabelle that dozens of Kenyan soldiers have been deposited on the border, and news indicate that Kenya has done so to strengthen the security of their country.

Furthermore, Kenya has also strengthened its security on the border of Baladhawo and Mandera after a strong explosion occurred two days ago in Mandera.
