Somalia: Intense Battle Erupts in Qansaxdhere, Casualties Unknown

According to news reports from Bay region, fierce clashes broke out between Somali National Army troops against the Al-Qaeda affiliated Al-Shabaab terrorist organization in the Qansaxdhere district of the region.

The violent conflict was provoked after the terrorist insurgents attacked a Somali National Army sitting or military station in Qansaxdhere.

Residents in the district have reported to Shabelle that severe fatalities were caused and both of the warring sides allegedly received casualties and losses.

The Qansaxdhere district officials of the Bay regional administration have denied to give a statement to Shabelle regarding the skirmishes in the district last night.
