Nigeria: Commissioner Promises Timely Completion of Tuomo Bridge

Asaba — The construction of a N500 million Egbo-Ayakelemor Bridge in Tuomo town, an agrarian community in Burutu Local Government Area of the state has gotten to a pilling stage with a promise to be completed very soon.

The communities that will benefit from the bridge include Ogbubagbene, Tibigbe, Tamigbe, Tuomo, Ojobo, Turogbene, Indoro and Alebre from both Delta and Bayelsa states.

Funkekeme Solomon, Delta State Commissioner for Works, made the disclosure at the weekend at Tuomo town during an inspection of projects, saying the bridge is intended to be finished quickly in accordance with the 'Finishing Strong' agenda of Governor Emmanuel Uduaghan to help fast track meaningful development.

The new bridge, he said, would integrate the other communities in the state and Bayelsa State, charging the community to cooperate with the contractors to ensure the work is not affected by any undue interference.
