WITH the Namibian Association of Medical Aid Funds (NAMAF) adamant that the majority of doctors in the country are overcharging patients, the doctors say they want NAMAF to show them the methodology it used to determine that 66% of them are charging above agreed tariffs.
In a bombshell last week, figures released by NAMAF CEO Gabriel Mbapaha showed that about 34% of doctors are charging at or around the benchmark tariffs, while the other 66% are charging well in excess of the benchmark tariffs.
