Kenya: Fight Child Labour, Nyeri Leaders Told

THE Nyeri government is transforming the Central Kenya show venue into an active trade show.

Deputy Governor Samuel Wamathai said the event will incubate innovative ideas like a cottage industry through out the year at Kabiruini Show Ground.

He said this will offer an opportunity for exhibitors to exhibit innovative ideas.

Wamathai was speaking during the launch of the Central Kenya Agricultural Show committee in Nyeri on Saturday.

The 30-member team will serve in different sub committees to organise this years show in September.

"I encourage the youth and women to exhibit their talents," Wamathai said.

Murang'a, Nyandarua, Kirinyaga, Laikipia and Kiambu counties will be invited to exhibit their agro-based activities and innovations.
