Namibia: Nujoma Opens N$27 Million Ruacana Market

FORMER president Sam Nujoma has urged financial institutions to assist small businesses by offering them loans that can enable them to contribute to the country's economic development.

He was speaking at the opening of the N$27 million community market at Ruacana in Omusati region on Saturday, which was built by the Ministry of Trade and Industry. Nujoma, who was accompanied by the Minister of Trade and Industry, Calle Schlettwein, Omusati and Oshana governors Sophia Shaningwa and Klemens Kashuupulwa, as well as many councillors, said that 67 jobs had been created during the construction phase and 72 others by various businesses that operate at the market.
