ATTORNEY General Githu Muigai has made a belated attempt to stop the International Criminal Court appeals chamber from compelling eight prosecution witnesses to testify. Githu had already filed the Kenya government official observations on the matter on June 25.
He has however filed another set of observations "clarifying" the earlier position. In the new observations, he re-asserts that the Kenya government cannot be forced to compel witnesses to appear before the ICC but revisits his earlier arguments on the matter.
