On Thursday, gynecologists and obstetricians started their 2-day second annual scientific conference under the theme 'Non-communicable diseases and reproductive health.'
Health minister Dr. Agnes Binagwaho stated that obstetricians and gynecologists are crucial in the life of Rwandans. "The biggest burden of diseases and clinical situations resulting in death are in neonatology," she said, stressing that midwives' education is key as many deliveries are done at health centers.
