The Kenya National Union of Teachers (Knut) wants all the 47 county directors of education to undergo fresh vetting. Knut Secretary General Wilson Sossion claimed the Ministry of Education did not follow a competitive process in recruiting the officials. Speaking during the induction day for Kericho and Bomet union officials at Getarwet Girls Secondary School in Kericho County, Sossion accused the Education ministry of filling the positions without advertising the vacancies.
