BANKS are facing a hitch in distribution of new EMV cards with less than 50 per cent of clients of the 43 licenced banks yet to get their cards.
Inquiries by the Star and complaints to the Consumer Federation of Kenya show that distribution of the more secure chip and pin cards from the previously used magnetic strip cards has been hampered by uncertainty over cost, slow issuance by some banks and lack of information.
