Nigeria: Court Did Not Bar Ekiti Assembly From Creating New Councils - Omini

Dr. Adewale Omirin is the speaker of Ekiti State House of Assembly. The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has subjected the Assembly to a barrage of attacks over the proposal to create additional local government development areas in the state by the Governor Kayode Fayemi administration. The All Progressives Congress (APC) chieftain faulted the PDP 's claim that the Assembly had been barred by the court from going ahead with the processes. Our Correspondent, Yaqoub Popoola, captures his reactions on the matter. Excerpts.

The PDP has consistently accused the Assembly of disrespecting court orders with respect to the creation of additional councils in the state. What is your reaction on this?
