Nigeria: Police Arrest NSCDC Operative for Arms Deal

Police detectives attached to Niger State Police Command have arrested an officer of the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC), Idris Saidu, accusing him of his involvement in illegal dealings in arms and ammunition.

Following the arrest, the detectives said they recovered from the suspect two AK-47 rifles and a large cache of ammunition.
