Sudanese States Ask for Federal Help to Stave Off Effects of Rains and Floods

Khartoum — Sudan's River Nile and Sinnar states have asked the federal government for assistance to overcome the serious damages caused by heavy rains.

The governor of the River Nile state, al-Hadi Abdallah, announced mobilization of government units and residents to ward off effects of the floods which led to the complete or partial destruction of 900 houses.
