Having lived in America for 25 years and become a "naturalised" American citizen, now residing in Kenya for more than a decade, one is still fascinated by the modern American society's deep-seated yearning for constant experimentation and change.
This applies to all social spheres -- cultural, economic, political, behavioural, and so on. What is interesting also is that, with much reluctance, the Western Europeans adopt almost all American innovations in about five years' time; the rest of the world takes about 10 or more years to do so.
