Mozambique: Renamo Denies That Its Leader Is Ill

Maputo — A senior figure in Mozambique's former rebel movement Renamo on Friday denied press reports that the party's leader, Afonso Dhlakama, is seriously ill.

Questioned by the Portuguese news agency Lusa, the head of the Renamo Youth League, Ivone Soares (who is also Dhlakama's niece), categorically denied the reports.
