Liberia: Ebola Strikes American Doctor As JFK Chief Medic Loses Battle

Monrovia — As the deadly Ebola virus continues to cause more deaths in Liberia, and has now become a full blown crisis, described as one of the deadliest outbreak ever, the virus has struck a lethal blow, attacking an American doctor working here who has been helping patients infected with the virus. Dr. Kent Brantly an American Doctor working with the humanitarian aid organization Samaritan's Purse has tested positive for the deadly Ebola virus, according to WCNC a U.S based online news site.

Dr. Brantly, who has been working in Liberia since October 2013 for the Boone, North Carolina-based aid organization Samaritan's Purse is now receiving intensive medical treatment after he was infected with Ebola, the spokeswoman for the organization told WCNC.
