Nigeria: FG Tasks Shell to Resolve Bonga Oil Spill Crisis

Following the protracted crisis that has engulfed the Bonga Oil spillage in the Niger Delta region, the Federal Government has tasked the Shell Petroleum Development Company (SPDC) to address the conflict expeditiously. Minister of Environment, Mrs. Laurentia Laraba Mallam, gave the marching order to the company, stressing that the order has become necessary to ensure that the matter is resolved amicably.

Mallam spoke in Abuja when officials of the corporation led by its country Chairman, Mr. Mutiu Sunmonu, had a follow-up meeting with ministry officials.
