Nigeria: Banire Lauds Ex-Lagos CJ

Lagos — National Legal Adviser of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Muiz Banire, has hailed the immediate past Chief Judge (CJ) of Lagos State, Ayotunde Phillips, as a jurist par excellence who brought a lot of dynamism to the legal profession.

In an exclusive interview with Daily Independent, Banire, a Lagos based lawyer, said Justice Phillips who retired on July 25 was an excellent jurist who ran an open door policy and was always receptive to new ideas that would transform the judiciary.
