Kenya: Uhuru Retires Joff Otieno As Air Force Commander, Replace Him With Samuel Thuita

President Uhuru Kenyatta on Wednesday retired Kenya Air Force Commander Major General Joff Otieno on age grounds. Brigadier Samuel Ng'ang'a Thuita was promoted to Major General and appointed Air Force commander to replace Maj Gen Otieno.

A statement released by the Ministry of Defence said the President made the changes on the advice of the Defence Council, under the chairmanship of Cabinet Secretary for Defence Raychelle Omamo.
