Kenya: Land Ministry Starts Revoking Titles in Lamu

Lands secretary Charity Ngilu has ordered for the immediate closure of the Kilifi, Kwale and Mombasa county land registries for 10 days to pave way

for re-organization. The ministry has also revoked titles to 22 companies accused of acquiring land in Lamu county

illegally. The names of the directors and shareholders of the companies have also been released with 14 of the firms found to be missing in the Registrar of Companies records.
