Ethiopia: Diasporas Laud Development Triumph in Ethiopia

Participants of Tigray International Diaspora Festival have appreciated development endeavors in Ethiopia.

Some 3000 Tigray born Diasporas participating in the festival since Thursday expressed their delight over the development success Ethiopia has registered, after visiting development works at Mekele.

Participants visited on Friday such development works as Mesfin Industrial Engineering, Mesebo Cement Factory, and Ayider Referal Hospital as part of the first in its kind of Tigray International Diaspora Festival.

After paying a visit to the development activities at and around Mekele they said that the country was on the right track to grow.

Diasporas participating in the festival now, had played a significant role providing different supports in the struggle of toppling the Derg regime, it was noted.

After the fall of the previous regime, the Diasporas having participated in different development activities; and have also invested over 1 billion Birr in Tigray State, it was indicated.
