Gambia: 2014 Camp Poised to Reorient Youth Towards V-2016

Bwiam — The 2014 edition of the National Youth and Sports Summer Camp officially opened Monday evening in the provincial town of Bwiam, with organisers set to reorient the participants on the challenges towards Vision 2016 Food Self-Sufficiency Agenda, a crusade launched by the government of The Gambia to end the importation of rice into the country by the targeted year.

Organised by the Ministry of Youth and Sports, the Bwiam camp will end on the10th of August, 2014 before the campers proceed to a similar international camp to be held from 17th -24 August in Ziguinchor, Senegal.
