Head of the Preventive Medicine in the Ministry of Health, Dr. Amr Qandil said that the ministry did not issue any decision prohibiting Hajj or travel to Saudi Arabia until yesterday after the death of a person infected with Ebola there.
Qandil pointed out that the health ministry has taken preventive measures with the purpose of preventing spread of the disease among the Egyptian pilgrims during the coming period. He added that Ebola has no vaccination or preventive medication, but the ministry has a comprehensive program to protect the pilgrims from Ebola.
