Egypt: WB - Egypt, Five Arab Countries Qualified to Achieve Rapid Growth

The World Bank said that six Arab countries, notably Egypt, Tunisia, Lebanon, Jordan, Yemen, Libya, in addition to Iran are qualified to achieve rapid growth, but sustainability of such a growth will be dependent on the economic policies the governments of these countries should pursue.

A most recent report from the World Bank underscored that Egypt and the other five Arab countries are necessarily requested to adopt swift measures to encourage and promote the economic activities worthy of realizing rapid sustainable growth rates as well as welfare for their nationals.

Such measures should comprise structural reforms geared to curtail subsidies, reinforce the investment climate and improve the public administration systems, said the report.
