Tanzania: Swala Shares Gain On Listing Day At Dar Bourse

SWALA Oil and Gas Tanzania listed at the Enterprise Growth Market (EGM), a segment of the Dar es Salaam Stock Exchange (DSE) on Monday to become the first oil and gas company in East Africa to go public.

Immediately after the ringing of the bell by the former president, Ali Hassan Mwinyi to officiate the event and traditional symbol signifying opening of Swala's first day trading, the shares started to trade at 600/-, up from 500/- offered at the Initial Public Offering (IPO).
