Tunisia: Marzouki Congratulates Erdogan On Election As President

Carthage — Caretaker President Moncef Marzouki, Tuesday, congratulated Recep Tayyip Erdogan on his election, Sunday, as President of Turkey, wishing him full success.

Marzouki expressed, in this message, Tunisia's strong will to consolidate fraternal ties with Turkey and boost partnership in all fields, reads a press release of the Presidency of the Republic.

Recep Tayyip Erdogan, who has served as Turkey's Premier since 2003 and leader of the Party of Justice and Development (AKP), won the presidential elections in the first round with 52% of votes.
