Somalia: Al Shabaab Executes Two Men for Spying Outside Kismayo

Al-Shabaab militants in Somalia on publicly executed two Somali men accused of spying for the interim Juba administration officials and Kenyan defense forces under AMISOM mission outside port city of Kismayo.

The incident took place at Abdalla-birole area, outside Kismayo, the capital of lower Juba region. The men reportedly confessed to their crimes and were then executed in front of hundreds of local residents, according an unmade Al Shabaab official in the town.

Al-Shabaab representative in the town said the group would act decisively if they found anyone guilty of spying for their enemies.

Al Shabaab militants liberated Abdalla-birole area, outside Kismayo after deadly battle between interim Juba soldiers backed by Kenyan forces--AMISOM and the insurgents that has killed at least 30 people including warring sides.
