Algeria: Road Accidents - 25 Killed, 64 Injured in Two Days

Algiers — Twenty five people were killed and 64 others were injured nationwide in several accidents that occurred from 24 to 26 July, said Saturday the Civil Protection in a communiqué.

The heaviest toll was recorded in M'sila province with four deaths and five injured following two road accidents, where the most serious one occurred in a collision between a light vehicle and a lorry on Trunk Road 08 in the commune of Sidi Aissa, causing the death of 3 people.

The Civil Protection units put out, during this period, 7 urban and industrial fires in the provinces of Algiers, Setif, Bejaia, Blida and Mostaganem without recording any casualties, according to the source.

During this period, the units of the Civil Protection recorded two deaths by drowning in the water reservoirs in M'sila and Tizi Ouzou, added the communiqué.
