Algeria: Eid Al-Fitr Warmth Brought to Hospitalized Children

Algiers — The celebration of Eid al Fitr in different hospitals of Algiers took place Monday in an atmosphere of solidarity and charity with hospitalized people, chiefly children.

Thus, the Algerian Red Crescent (CRA) organized a campaign of solidarity for kids hospitalized in the pediatric surgery wing of Mustapha Pasha University Hospital (Algiers). Toys and gifts were offered to kids who have not had the chance to live these moments with their families.

This is the sixth year in a row that similar operations are organized for children in hospitals in collaboration with the National Radio, said Lila Haman, representing the CRA adding that visits were made to these services during the month of Ramadan to inquire about the needs of children who spend the Eid deprived from family warmth.

According to the same official, the CRA preferred that these gifts and toys are distributed by other children to deepen the sense of solidarity and mutual aid.
