Botswana: Demonetisation of Old Coin

The Bank hereby reminds the public that the old Botswana coin will be demonetised with effect from August 28, 2014. Thereafter, the coin will be exchanged only at the Bank of Botswana in Gaborone and Francistown for a period of five (5) years until August 28, 2019.

The Bank hereby reminds the public that the old Botswana coin will be demonetised with effect from August 28, 2014. Thereafter, the coin will be exchanged only at the Bank of Botswana in Gaborone and Francistown for a period of five (5) years until August 28, 2019.

The public is, therefore, requested to exchange any remaining coin still in their possession at any commercial bank before the deadline of August 28, 2014. (August 14, 2014)
