Kenya: Four Dead At the Salgaa Crash

Four people have died on the spot at Salga black spot on Nakuru-Eldoret Highway after a lorry collided head-on with a canter truck and a Easy Coach bus.

According to St Johns Ambulance, the lorry coming from Eldoret lost control on the slope, and collided with the two vehicles moving in the opposite direction.

The Canter driver and his passenger are among those who died during the night accident. Passengers on the Easy Coach bus were also seriously injured and rushed to Rift Valley Provincial General Hospital.

The road was left slippery after the accident after oil spilled on the road giving motorists a hard time on the road.

Potatoes and petroleum jelly which were being ferried in the lorry and canter truck were scattered all over the scene of the midnight incident.

"The section of the road is slippery from spillage of petroleum jelly, and motorists are advised to be cautious," St Johns Ambulance warned in a statement.

Salgaa is a few kilometres from Sachang'wan another notorious black spot.
