Nigeria: NEMA Gets 2014 Productivity Award

Abuja — National Emergency Management Agency (NEMA) has been conferred with the 2014 National Productivity Order of Merit (NPOM) Award by Nigeria's President, Goodluck Jonathan for being efficient in disaster management.

While presenting the award in Abuja at 2014 National Productivity Day, the President who was represented by the Vice President, Muhammad Namadi Sambo said NEMA got the award in recognition of its impressive and timely responses to disasters as well as the success it has achieved in the promotion of disaster risk reduction in the country.
