Angola: MNE Holds Roller Skate Hockey Tournament to Mark President's Anniversary

Huambo — The Provincial Secretariat of Huambo of the National Spontaneous Movement (MNE), in partnership with the Center for skating of this region holds Saturday and Sunday, a Roller Hockey tournament in juvenile male class, to celebrate the 72nd birthday of the President and his patron, José Eduardo dos Santos, to be marked on the 28th August.

According to a press release, made available to ANGOP, on Friday, the event also aims to spread the sport towards its development in the province.

The tournament, to be played at the Multipurpose Pavilion Osvaldo Serra Van-Dumen, gathers teams such as mixed of Huambo, 1º de Agosto, Petro de Luanda, Hockey 2000 and Banca de Luanda, in a system of all against all. The team with highest score will be declared winners of the tourney.

According to the spokesperson of the event, Valdemar Edson, visiting teams are already in Huambo, where the conditions are all provisioned.
