Sudan: Wounded Ma'aliya Transferred From East Darfur to Khartoum

Abu Karaynka — A hospital in Khartoum has received 27 wounded members of the Ma'aliya tribe on Friday, who sustained their injuries during the fighting with the Rizeigat tribe in Um Rakuba, East Darfur, this week.

"The 27 patients who were transferred to Khartoum sustained various injuries such as fractures and wounds," a Member of Parliament for the Abu Karinka constituency, Hamdan Abdallah Tirab, told Radio Dabanga. There were 70 wounded Ma'aliya in total, following the fighting on Wednesday, he confirmed.
