A human rights lobby in Kitui county will continue educating residents of Mui Coal area on their rights through civic education. Executive director of the Centre for Human Right and Civic Education, Rhoda Musyoka, said Mui residents have the rights to understand their land rights.
"We want to make sure the ordinary men and women in Mui know how the coal project will affect them. We will not stop the public education programme. We do not want to see squatters when coal mining kicks off," he said. Musyoka was addressing Mui residents at the Mathuki AIC Church last Thursday.
