Nigeria: Delta Empowers Indigenes With N2 Billion for MSMEs

Asaba — DETERMINED to wipe out poverty in Delta, the state government has disclosed that about N2 billion has been procured by the administration as loan to support the Growth and Empowerment in the State (GEMS3), particularly the Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs).

Dr Kingsley Emu, Commissioner for Commerce and Industry, Delta State disclosed Monday in Asaba, on the occasion of the flag off of the "Running a Business in Delta State Campaign", stating that N1 billion is with the Bank of Industry, BOI, while N500 million is with the ministry to be shared N20 million each to the 25 Local Governments in the state.
