Kenya Red Cross Suspends Operations in Rhamu Over Insecurity

The Kenya Red Cross Society (KRCS) has suspended operations in Rhamu village in Mandera County after two of their ambulances were attacked in renewed clashes between the Degodia and Garre clans, Kenya's Capital FM reported Monday (August 25th).

Gunmen ambushed one ambulance Sunday night, shooting one of the crew members in the leg. The second crew member was not harmed and both took shelter in the bush until police rescued them early Monday morning.
