Nigeria: Confusion As Giwa Becomes NFF President

Confusion reigned in the nation's football sector yesterday as Proprietor of Giwa FC of Jos, Christopher Giwa was elected President of the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) at an election that was boycotted by some NFF board members and majority of the state football association chairmen who are the electoral college.

Giwa defeated former Vice President Mike Umeh 27-2 to emerge the new NFF boss while Obinna Ogba was elected Vice President and Effiong Johnson as Chairman of Chairmen.
