Nigeria: Sokoto PDP Waiting to Blow Up

The leadership of the Sokoto State chapter of the Peoples Democratic Party does not seem to understand the enormity of the crisis currently plaguing its fold.

These are not the best of times for the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Sokoto State which is currently bedeviled by internal division and mutual suspicion among its members. The party has been polarised into camps in the state. The disquiet in the party was further exacerbated by the inauguration of its executive members led by the new chairman, Alhaji Ibrahim Milgoma, a staunch loyalist and lieutenant of former governor Attahiru Bafarawa.
