A new Liberian-owned Non-Governmental Organization (NGO), MediaAid Foundation (MAF) has been legally established in the country. MediaAid Foundation is a media development NGO that seeks to strengthen media professionals through capacity building, aid, public relations as well as consultancy and research. The release quotes MediaAid Foundation's Executive Director Titus W. Tokpah as saying, the NGO plans to run a quarterly training course for would-be-journalists and practicing media professionals as well, particularly beginners and middle-level journalists throughout the 15-counties. MediaAid Foundation's training program shall be named in honor of a prominent Liberian journalist who continues to approach general media issues across the African continent with high level of consciousness, diligence, commitment and bravery.
