Nigeria: Obasanjo Promises to Lead Campaign Against Blindness

Ibadan — To improve eye care among over the 160 million Nigerians, former President Olusegun Obasanjo, on Wednesday, promised to lead the campaign against avoidable blindness and visual impairment.

Obasanjo made the promise after his induction as an Ambassador Plenipotentiary and Extraordinary for Sight by the Ophthalmological Society of Nigeria (OSN) at the opening of a four-day 39th Annual Congress and Scientific meeting of the society.
