Eritrea: Gash-Barka Region - Seminars Being Conducted As Regards Communicable Diseases

Barentu — Seminars are being conducted in different areas of Gash-Barka region with a view to raising community awareness as regards communicable diseases in general and diseases that affect people at the regional and international level in particular.

Speaking at a seminar conducted in Barentu town to this end, Mr. Gergis Beyene, head of medical service at the Health Ministry's branch in the region, stated that the dire consequences of the communicable diseases, and called on communities to heed the instructions and consultations given by the Health Ministry regarding the diseases. He also explained that endeavors are being exerted so as to promote higher community awareness pertaining to communicable diseases in general.
