Malawi: Chitu Honey Cooperative Committed to Preserving Nature in Ku

Kasungu — In a quest to make their working environment conducive and boost its economic gains, Chitu Honey Cooperative in Santhe-Kasungu has embarked on re-afforesting M'bwabwa Hill in the area.

The group with the guidance of Sub Traditional Authority (STA) Nyaza has so far brought back the lost beauty of M'bwabwa Hill which was left bare due to wanton cutting down of trees. The tendency also crippled their honey making business as erratic rains drew back the production of honey.
