Algeria: Ukrainian Plane Crashes in Algeria, Seven Killed

Tamanrasset — A cargo plane, en route to Equatorial Guinea, with six Ukrainians and one Russian on board crashed in Algeria's far south early on Saturday killing all 7 crew members, an Algerian Transport Ministry official said.

State news agency APS reported that the Antonov An-12 plane went down in a mountainous area south of the Tamanrasset airport after making a stopover for unspecified technical reasons.

Local authorities reported recovering the burned bodies of three crew members from the debris of the aircraft. The search for the rest of the crew is continuing.
