Tanzania: Planning Can Improve Living Standards in Rural Areas

PRISKA Manka Chuwa is a 40-year-old mother who lives at Uru Kisomboko village in Moshi Rural District, Kilimanjaro Region. This woman who is an ordinary farmer has two children studying at Mangi Sabbas Ward secondary school, which was established over ten years ago and it has recorded commendable some success so far.

For example, there are about 10 Mangi Sabbas school alumni at the University of Dar es Salaam currently, who either take Science, Arts or Law courses. When I spoke to one of them recently she assured me that most of them were doing well in their studies.
