East Africa: EALA Pushes to Promote Culture, Arts

MEMBERS of the East Africa Legislative Assembly (EALA) have pledged support towards Bagamoyo Institute of Arts and Culture (TaSUBa) in a move geared towards promoting it to become one of the renowned centres of excellence in cultural preservation and development around East Africa.

The Speaker of EALA, Ms Margaret Nantongo Zziwa, said in Bagamoyo on Saturday during the Official Visit by EALA Members at TaSUBa, that the assembly had passed Article 119 to acknowledge the importance of culture and sports for the purpose of unifying the member States.
