Nigeria: Sheriff's Exit Won't Spell Doom for APC - Bukar Abba

Kaduna — A top chieftain of the All Progressives Congress (APC) and former governor of Yobe State, Senator Bukar Abba, believes that the exit of Senator Ali Modu Sheriff, former governor of Bornu State, from the party to the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) would not spell doom for the APC.

Responding to allegations that the fortunes of the party would dwindle as a result of the defection of Sheriff, who was said to be the sole financier of the party, Abba said Sheriff was not the sole financier of the party, as every appointed officer of the APC contributes to the running and smooth operations of the party.
