Algiers — Algerian Army Chief of Staff Ahmed Gaïd Salah met with US Africa Command (AFRICOM) head General David Rodriguez on Wednesday (August 27th) in Algiers to discuss Sahel security and military co-operation.
The talks were aimed at "researching the optimal approaches to co-ordinate efforts, especially regarding the exchange of intelligence and expertise in the fight against terrorism", according to the Algerian defence ministry.
